Here's a sneak peek at how we're combining Eduprotocols, Seesaw, Google Slides, and an Internet Scavenger Hunt for an Earth Day extravaganza. With tech-infused lessons igniting our passion for environmental stewardship, we emerge inspired and empowered to make a positive difference in the world around us. Our Planet Earth Seesaw Lesson

In this Seesaw lesson Students will read or listen to the informational text to learn about the importance of Earth Day and taking care of our planet. Then, they will work independently and with partners to show what they learned using different types of responses.

If Earth had Social Media

Earth Day is on April 22nd this year. Let’s creatively spread the word using Google Slides! You’ll find different templates that replicate popular social media platforms that you can share or assign to students. They can use the tools embedded in Google Slides to add images, videos, shapes, and text to get their message across.

EduProtocol Earth Day Thin Slides in Canva template 

In this activity, students engage with the Thin Slides template by adding their name and editing a sentence with their own idea. Teachers provide the template link, adjust collaboration settings to allow anyone with the link to edit, and share it with the class. Each student gets a slide to personalize with Canva tools, adding background images, photos, or videos to illustrate their idea.

Explore positive things that are happening on our planet by using the provided links.  Have students find 6-8 that are especially meaningful and put them on the provided template.  Use text and/or images, and have students share their poster.

Women’s History Pear Deck Lessons 

Use these pre-made Pear Deck lessons to teach about the achievements of women pioneers in their fields, advocates for change, and unsung heroes whose stories deserve recognition. AAPI Heritage Month

Use Flip to research AAPI Heritage Month. Students will watch the BrainPop video about influential people in AAPI history. Then they will choose one of the people in the video to research further and create a response about their impact on history.

Grades 4-12

On Screen Diversity

Students can reflect on diversity in the media they consume in this Flip Activity. Students then will record a video about a tv show or video with diverse characters and explain why representation matters.
