Wassily Kandinsky-Kandinsky was a Russian painter and art theorist. Kandinsky is generally credited as the pioneer of abstract art. Born in Moscow, Kandinsky spent his childhood in Odessa, where he graduated from Grekov Odessa Art school. This is one of his paintings.
Activity #2: Music Through Animation

See how Disney animators were inspired by a piece of music written by a French composer to create this short piece called Flamingos.
Activity #3: Piano Roll
Here is another way to show music in a visual way. Watch the piano player play a famous piece by Beethoven called Fur Elise. The colors match the keys being played on the piano. Notice they also show the length of the notes being played.
Activity #4: Music through Illustration
We'll finish up with a famous picture book by Eric Carle I See a Song. I love how this video has animated the illustrations and added music to enhance the story! Enjoy!

Grab your art supplies and draw a picture in Kandinsky style. Use markers, crayons, paint, etc. Upload a picture of your art on the Google Form!
