4th
grade music continues to explore the five main music concepts: rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and tone color. Your students will broaden their rhythmic understanding with the playing and reading of rhythms that now include triplets, syncopation, and eighth rests. Their vocal repertoire will continue to expand and they will continue to hone their mallet technique. Your child will begin to listen for accelerando and ritardando (speeding up and slowing down) and will be introduced to and play their first wind instrument: the recorder!
