About Us

I am a proud graduate of Western Washington University where I graduated with a degree in Flute performance. I then went on to finish my Music education degree. I have been teaching at Westhill for over 30 years! It is a pleasure to use music to help students grow. I believe every child is a musician and can improve their music making skills through general music instruction.

I continue to play and perform on my flute with the Cascade Symphony Orchestra in Edmonds. My hobbies are gardening, art, and cooking. My daughter, Megan, is also a music teacher!

I earned my music education degree with an endorsement in early childhood special education from Wichita State University. I taught general music for a short time before embarking on a very challenging and satisfying career as a stay at home mom to my 3 children! During that time I continued teaching private voice and piano, directing a children's choir, and singing and playing piano.

This is my first year at Westhill, and I am so happy to be here making music with your kids
