grade music is filled with lots of playing, singing, and moving. Your child will be learning about quarter notes, eighth notes, and quarter rest this year and differentiating between fast and slow music. They’ll also work on recognizing and playing high and low patterns, playing beginning mallet instruments and small percussion and noticing same and different in music. We improve on our ability to work with others through games, dance, and instrument ensembles.
