The AULA Fast Track programs save qualified students significant time and costs when progressing from undergraduate to graduate studies at AULA. Students in Fast Track programs are able to take graduate courses that will apply toward both the student’s bachelor’s degree as well as a master’s degree. Depending on the program, these units typically can satisfy up to a quarter’s or semester’s worth of graduate degree requirements.
Below you'll find the guidelines and forms necessary to assist you in determining whether or not the Fast Track method of entering an AULA graduate program might work for you. Please note that students should consult with their Academic Advisors in evaluating their suitability and eligibility for the Fast Track. In addition to working collaboratively with their Academic Advisor, students must gain approval from an Undergraduate Studies Chair to become a Fast Track candidate, prior to applying for the graduate program.
STEP ONE: Download and review the Fast Track Checklist form (way below) for the program you're interested in. This Checklist will help you determine whether the Fast Track is a good fit and give you an understanding of the Fast Track timeline.
STEP TWO: Meet with your Academic Advisor to: a) Determine whether the Fast Track fits with your overall educational goals and degree plan, b) Go over the Fast Track Checklist, and c) Outline a plan for meeting all requirements on the Fast Track Checklist.
STEP THREE: BA-to-MAP Fast Track candidates only: As soon as possible, but no later than Week 1 two quarters prior to the intended Fast Track quarter, you must send a brief email to: BA.PSY.AULA@antioch.edu, alerting the Psychology Fast Track Team of your interest in engaging in the Fast Track option. Acceptance into the Fast Track process is dependent on the approval of the Fast Track Team.
STEP FOUR: No later than the deadline specified on the Checklist, acquire the signatures of your Advisor as well as of an Undergraduate Studies Chair on the Fast Track Intent form that applies to you. Once completed, this form must be turned in to the Office of Integrated Student Services (studentservices.aula@antioch.edu) by the aforementioned deadline.
STEP FIVE: Apply to the specific graduate program you wish to attend by the program’s due date. Click here to determine when your application is due.
STEP SIX: If accepted into the graduate program, be sure to contact that graduate program’s office to get information about registration and orientation.
STEP SEVEN: Complete all attempted units in the Fast Track term in order to earn your bachelor’s degree, which is required to successfully transition into the master’s degree program to which you’ve been provisionally admitted. Students who do not satisfy all of their undergraduate program requirements will be withdrawn from the graduate program.
