About the Peace Corps
An independent American agency founded in 1961, Peace Corps offers a service opportunity for motivated changemakers to travel to one of over 60 countries across the globe, immerse themselves as volunteers in a community abroad, living and working hand-in-hand with local leaders to address the most pressing issues in their communities.
We have a long-standing connection and mission alignment with Peace Corps, and many Antiochian alumni, faculty, staff and students have served in the past.
Would you like to join the Peace Corps? You may have what it takes to apply!
Because selection into Peace Corps has grown increasingly competitive, Antioch University offers UGS Los Angeles’ students a unique preparation program that gives them a significant advantage when applying to serve as Peace Corps Volunteers: We are in fact one of the few PC Prep programs in the country serving adult Bachelor’s degree completion students like yourself.
For these, we help you make many of your UGS courses as well as transferred classes and eligible prior experiences to count as part of your Peace Corps prep program. It is all about synergy! We are here to help you match the Peace Corps requirements with those courses you have already taken or that will take anyway as part of your degree plan.
Is this Prep Program for you?

PC Prep program is documented in your academic record
Your PC Prep Certificate is issued by Antioch University and Peace Corps.

Remember: If interested, your first step is to contact ugspartners.aula@antioch.edu for a referral to a PC Prep Orientation session with the PC Prep Coordinator.
Although earning a PC Prep Certificate does not guarantee acceptance into the Peace Corps, having our prep program listed on your transcript already distinguishes you as a caring, capable and committed global citizen, which are desirable qualities in any professional field.
