Leaders ensure that all stakeholders have ongoing opportunities to access information and learn about STEM implementation.
Annunciation Catholic School uses a variety of mediums to our stakeholders in order to provide information and gain insight into our STREAM initiatives. First and foremost, we communicate through our web page, which includes the STREAM web page and Green Envelope. The Green Envelope contains principal updates, teacher newsletters, announcements, and information about special events happening both in our school and in our community. Teacher newsletters contain information about weekly class activities and lessons, including STREAM. In addition, ACS has an active social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Stakeholders can also gain information about STREAM from the ClassDojo App, which teachers use to showcase what is happening in the classroom and share special events with parents. ACS also sends out to stakeholders a bi-weekly e-newsletter as well as a bi-weekly newscast from the Journalism Club.

Throughout the school year, teachers collect classroom projects, lessons, writing samples, and artwork to place into portfolio binders for each elementary student. These binders highlight the hard work the students have accomplished as well as an opportunity to see their personal growth. At the end of the year, students take their portfolios home as a keepsake for that school year.
Students are proud to show off their portfolios to their parents at the end of the year as well as to their grandparents during Grandparents Day. Examples of student work in portfolios can be found here.
In Middle School, we are currently organizing student work to put in digital portfolios for every student. These portfolios will include student work such as essays, slideshows, videos, and photos of group projects. A digital copy of these portfolios will be given to students at the end of the year.

ACS is an extended family and all members are invited to participate in activities and volunteer at our school in order to witness first-hand the education of our students. Parents, grandparents, alumni and siblings are involved in all areas at our school, whether it is coming to help out at Garden Work Days, leading stations for STREAM Days, presenting at our Career Expos or completing Family STREAM Challenges. Other examples include chaperoning school field trips, attending STEM competitions, and exploring the science experiments at the 4th grade science fair. We are grateful to all who give their time and support to our school community! For more information about our school community and our community programs, go to our school community web page.
