Can you use the words that we learned last week to describe some things you do at work?
This week, we’re going to practice R sounds
In Spanish for /r/ you touch the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth right behind your teeth
En español para pronunciar el /r/ la lengua toca la parte superior de la boca detrás de los dientes al frente, pero en inglés no es así
Have her demonstrate how she pronounces the /r/ sound in Spanish
To pronounce the /r/ sound used in English, you’re going to curve your tongue so that both sides touch the roof of your mouth towards the back
Para pronunciar el sonido /r/ en inglés vas a curvar tu lengua para que ambos lados tocan el techo de tu boca hacia atrás
We’re going to practice this sound with a couple of words. You will repeat after me so that you hear the pronunciation first and try to replicate it
