What Does Being a Child of the Devil TRULY Mean?
What is the serpent seed doctrine? Just briefly, the serpent seed doctrine teaches that Satan literally had sexual intercourse with Eve to bear her a son named Cain. And then Adam KNEW Eve to bear himself a son named Abel. In other words, some Christians say that Eve became pregnant by Satan first and then by Adam's seed fertilizing a different egg in her womb and Eve gave birth to both the Serpent's seed and Adam's seed in the same pregnancy. Other Christians who believe and teach this same serpent seed doctrine say that Cain was born first and then Abel was born later in a different pregnancy.
Then the conclusion of the whole matter of this serpent seed doctrine is to try and prove that salvation is ONLY to the house of ISRAEL alone which to them means a certain RACE, as in, a certain skin COLOR of a race of people as being the ONLY RACE of people who will be saved.
On one side you have the black African sect of the serpent seed movement who claim that they are the true Hebrew Israelites and thus to THEM the black race is the only race of people who can be saved. And on the other side, you have the Anglo white Caucasian sect of the serpent seed movement who claim that they are the true Hebrew Israelites and thus to THEM the white race is the only race that can be saved. And both sides use the same scriptures putting their own personal interpretation upon those scriptures. They also use a lot of extra-Biblical resources to back up their interpretations they conclude from the Bible. It is a doctrine of devils plain and simple because Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE world and not for any particular RACE of people.
Now, in reality, they would have never concluded these interpretations had it not been for those extra-Biblical sources. Deception comes from asking the WRONG questions. This doctrine of the serpent seed basically began by asking questions like, WHO did Cain marry and then the serpent seed doctrine progressed from there. This doctrine of the serpent seed is just another form of CALVINISM which wrongly teaches that Jesus died ONLY for a certain select group of people and hence everyone else has no chance to be saved. And some who teach this doctrine argue that if you do not understand their teaching then you will NOT be able to understand what is happening in the world today as if it were some secret knowledge that only they can reveal to you.
This is what is called dogmatic demanding teaching or teaching using FEAR to seduce you into believing only what they teach. This is the same tactic used by Satan in the garden of Eden making suggestions and using the ploy of you want to be wise, don’t you?
Here is what the Bible itself teaches.
Genesis 41:1.
“And Adam KNEW Eve his wife; and she CONCEIVED, and bare CAIN, and said, I have gotten a man FROM the LORD.”
First, notice that this verse says that Cain was from the LORD or FROM Yahweh the creator. Also, the Hebrew word translated as “KNEW” in the King James Bible has many meanings and one of those meanings is as to lie with a man. In other words, Adam had sexual intercourse with his wife Eve and she CONCEIVED a child in her womb and bare a son whom they named CAIN. We find many examples of this in the New Testament. Here is just one example of the many examples of the word KNEW meaning having sexual intercourse. The following verse is where Joseph did not have sexual relations with his wife Mary until AFTER Jesus was born.
Matthew 1:25.
“And KNEW her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.”
The Bible ITSELF does NOT say that the serpent or Satan KNEW Eve at any time. In other words, you will not find any verse in the Bible itself saying that Satan had sexual intercourse with Eve. That interpretation is read into the scriptures and not out from the scripture.
But rather the Bible itself plainly says that Adam, her husband, KNEW Eve and she CONCEIVED and bare to ADAM a son that they named Cain. So then, according to the clear, plain, simple word of God, Cain is of the seed of ADAM.
Now it may well be that Cain and Abel were twins but the Hebrew word translated as “again” in Genesis 4:2 leads me to believe that they were born at a different time no less than nine months apart.
Genesis 4:2.
“And she AGAIN bares his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.”
The Hebrew word translated as “again” carries the meaning of doing the same thing again. A repeat of what just happened. To conceive again and give birth again to another. I find no hard evidence to dogmatically demand that Cain and Abel were twins or to dogmatically demand that they were not born of the same pregnancy but at separate times no less than nine months apart. It may be that Cain and Abel were twins. Or it may be that Cain and Abel were not twins. There is no sound solid Biblical evidence to demand either way.
So then, what is Satan’s SEED if his seed is NOT his literal offspring? Does not the Bible say that God would place and enmity BETWEEN Satan’s SEED and the seed of the woman? What else could Satan’s seed possibly mean?
Genesis 3:15.
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between YOUR seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
First of all please do not miss the importance of this verse having a hidden prophecy of Jesus the Messiah coming forth from the seed of a woman. So who then is Satan’s SEED? Is the seed of Satan just Cain? Are the seed of Satan only Cain and all the descendants of Cain? Are the SEED of Satan those many people who LISTEN to the lies of Satan to obey him?
Here is your first clue that Satan’s seed is NOT his literal offspring. Please notice that this verse says between your seed and HER seed as opposed to saying between your seed and HIS seed speaking of Adam’s seed. Both Cain and Abel came from HER womb. So then, both Cain and Abel were HER seed seeing that both Cain and Abel came forth out from HER womb. Again this verse is a prophecy of the Messiah coming forth from the seed of a woman where the ENMITY is between those who follow and obey Satan and those who follow and obey Jesus. So the WOMAN here is not even speaking of Eve but rather is speaking of a future woman, the Virgin Mary to who our Messiah was born. And WHY was the Messiah born? So that whosoever of anyone in the world who BELIEVES in Jesus as the atonement of their sin shall become the SEED of Abraham and heirs to the promise God made to Abraham.
Think with me for a moment and let us assume that Cain was the corrupt seed of Satan, as in, Cain was literally the offspring of Satan’s sperm through a sexual affair with Eve while Adam watched the whole thing and then had homosexual sex with Satan as well while Eve watched. That is what those who teach this serpent seed doctrine believe and teach. They teach that Adam and Eve's sin was a sex orgy and not simply disobeying God to eat a piece of fruit off of a tree of knowledge of good and evil to become WISE. And their biggest argument in my own opinion is that the punishment must fit the crime, so to speak. They use verses like an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth but they omit verses like stoning those to death that you see picking up sticks on the Sabbath day. I mean how does picking up sticks to make a fire to cook a meal be a crime worthy of being stoned to death? The punishment for sin is given by God Himself.
And God said to Adam that the day you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall die. Adam and Eve died spiritually that very day and if you take a thousand years as a day then they died physically as well on the same 1000 year long day they disobeyed God. It is interesting to note that the literal text uses the same Hebrew word "muth" which means DIE two times right together as you shall "muth" "muth" being used two times in a row. But it is translated as "you shall SURELY die" as opposed to being translated as "you shall DIE, DIE" or "you shall die TWICE". In reality, physical death is not the death of the soul. So in truth, the SPIRITUAL death of the soul is one death and God has concluded ALL of mankind to be SPIRITUAL DEAD. In other words, all humans are CONDEMNED to die the SECOND death in the lake of fire already and the ONLY way to be redeemed from the second death in the lake of fire is to BELIEVE in God's Son Jesus unto the end. This is what Jesus said the if you do not believe that he is the Christ which means the anointed by God and God's Messiah then you shall remain dead in your sins.
Please read Matthew 3:16-21.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believes NOT is condemned already, BECAUSE he has NOT believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19. And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.
20. For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21. But he that does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
When we read Genesis chapter 6 where Noah found grace in the eyes of God we only find EIGHT people who survived the flood. It was ONLY Noah and his generations who were found to be PERFECT. The meaning of generations being perfect can mean that the generations of Noah, who went into the Ark that Noah built, are without any corrupt seed where the fallen angels mated with the women of men. But being perfect in their generations also means following and obeying God. The whole earth became corrupt and the context speaks of VIOLENCE. My point right now is that God destroyed the REST of mankind which means that all the CORRUPT seed of Cain would have been destroyed in the flood of Noah if so be that Cain was a literal offspring of Satan. As you read the whole matter you will find that it is the “spirit” behind sin, the mystery of iniquity that is at work and NOT some wicked LINEAGE of people that started with Cain, who are born to sin.
Another verse used by those who teach the serpent seed doctrine is John 8:44 where Jesus says to the Jews that they are of their father the devil.
John 8:44.
“You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.”
And they interpret this verse literally as Satan being their biological father through the seed of Cain.
But what does this verse really mean in the light of the whole word of God? Please read Romans 6:16 first and then we will read 1 John 3:7-12.
Romans 6:16.
“Know you not, that to whom you YIELD yourselves, servants, to OBEY, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness?”
So Eve obeyed the LIE of Satan and became his servant. Then she gave the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to Adam and he believed the same lie to disobey God’s one commandment and became a servant of Satan. Adam and Eve could have eaten from any other tree in the garden including the tree of life and there was only ONE commandment to not eat the fruit of that ONE tree of knowledge of good and evil. But they believed the LIE of Satan and disobeyed God.
Now read 1 John 3:7-12.
“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8. He that commits sin is OF the devil; (Disobeying God is a sin and Eve sinned BY disobeying God when she listened to the LIE of Satan to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to become WISE) for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9. Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his SEED remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (We are BORN of God by hearing HIS words and OBEYING his words)
10. In this (Speaking of OBEYING or DISOBEYING God) the CHILDREN of God are manifest, and the CHILDREN of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother. (So then, when a person SINS they become a CHILD of the devil not because Satan had sex with their mother but because they DISOBEYED God by listening to the LIES of Satan and OBEYING Satan’s words.)
11. For this is the MESSAGE that you HEARD from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, (By LISTENING to and obeying the LIES or the WORDS of Satan) and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.”
God tried to WARN Cain to NOT give into the LIES of Satan. Please read Genesis 4:7 from several translations so you can see that God was pleading with Cain to be MASTER over this TEMPTATION from Satan to kill his brother Abel.
Here is Genesis 4:7 from the Bible in Basic English.
“If you do well, will you not have honor? And if you do wrong, sin is waiting at the door, desiring to have you, but do not let it be your master.”
Here is Genesis 4:7 from the Common English Bible.
“If you do the right thing, won't you be accepted? But if you don't do the right thing, sin will be waiting at the door ready to strike! It will entice you, but you must rule over it."
Here is Genesis 4:7 from the God’s Word translation.
“If you do well, won't you be accepted? But if you don't do well, sin is lying outside your door ready to attack. It wants to control you, but you must master it."
Here is Genesis 4:7 from the New Living Translation.
“You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
So what is happening here is that both Cain and Abel knew what kind of offering would be pleasing to God but Cain did NOT bring the kind of offering that God desired to have so God did not accept his offering. This angered Cain that God accepted Abel’s offering but rejected his offering. Cain kept on listening to the LIES of Satan to be jealous and envious of Abel and God tried to get Cain to get control over these temptations from Satan but Cain did not listen to God and OBEYED Satan’s voice to kill his brother Abel.
Cain showed no repentance and God had no choice but to punish Cain for obeying the lies of Satan. And that is HOW Cain became the SEED of Satan or the seed of the serpent. That is how anyone becomes a CHILD of the devil. It does NOT mean that Satan had intercourse with Eve for Cain to become the seed of Satan. We were ALL the seed of Satan before we became children of God.
I personally believe that Lamech killed Cain and then Lamech was killed in the flood of Noah.
Please read Genesis 4:13,14,15 and 23,24,25.
“And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14. Behold, you have driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from your face shall I be hidden; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that everyone that finds me shall slay me.
15. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him SEVENFOLD. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him….
… 23. And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding and a young man to my hurt.
24. If Cain shall be avenged SEVENFOLD, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
25. And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.”
Please notice that right after what appears to be Cain being slain by Lamech which would leave Adam and Eve NO SEED since Cain killed Abel and Lamech killed Cain we see God giving to Adam and Eve ANOTHER SEED whom they named SETH.
Also when we look at the meanings of the words in Genesis 4:23 we can see Lamech is saying that he has slain one born to show lineage to Lamech’s hurt. In other words, did Lamech slay Cain to end the curse of the family name? If Lamech did not slay Cain then why did he even mention the sevenfold curse upon the one who kills Cain? Why does God’s word immediately follow what appears to be Cain having been slain by Lamech speak of God giving Adam and Eve ANOTHER SEED? And why do we see no more lineage of Cain after Lemech? And why do we hear of a warning in the New Testament to not DO what Cain did if so be that Cain was BORN evil and could not control his actions? It would stand to reason that if so be Satan’s seed is born to sin and they have no choice in the matter that Adam’s seed would be born righteous and therefore they could not sin even if they wanted to sin.
The serpent seed doctrine is false teaching to try and prove that ONLY the TRUE Israelites will be saved. It is a RACIST doctrine of devils. On one side there are WHITE Caucasians claiming that they are the true Hebrew Israelites and thus only WHITE people can be saved. And on the other side, you have BLACK Africans claiming to be the true Hebrew Israelites and thus only BLACK people can be saved.
The Bible itself makes it blatantly clear beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for the sins of the WHOLE world and not just for a select specific group of people.
1 John 2:2.
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
Whosoever of any person in the whole world can be saved by BELIEVING that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
