Prerequisite Requirements

To qualify for this class you must have completed Secondary 1 Honors and 2 Honors with B grades or above.

Expectations

You must be willing to work hard. The work load will be more than in Secondary 2 Honors. Turning things in on time and staying caught up is imperative for your success in this class.

Course Description

Students expand their repertoire of functions to include polynomial, rational, and radical functions. They expand their study of right triangle trigonometry to include general triangles. They extend their work with exponential functions to include solving exponential equations with logarithms. Students will continually use factoring to solve and interpret functions.

After this Class

You have several courses to choose from after taking this class. Your grades in this course and what your plans are for college will help you determine which course to take. You are encouraged to choose either AP Calculus AB (B- or above), AP Calculus BC (B or above) AP Stats (C or above), or Math 1010/1050 Concurrent Enrollment (C or above).
