Prerequisite Requirements

To qualify for this class you must have completed all 4 quarters of Secondary 1 Honors with a B- or above. You may also qualify to take this class if you completed all 4 quarters of Secondary 1 with an A and have teacher approval.

Expectations

You've got to be willing to work hard. The work load will be more than in Secondary 1 Honors. It is run at a pretty quick pace so turning things in on time and staying caught up is a huge predictor of your success in this class. You are going to have to fight for your learning.

Course Description

This course continues to expand on properties of exponents, solving and graphing linear functions, and systems of equations. Solving and graphing quadratic functions, trigonometry, and properties of circles will also be introduced. Factoring becomes an essential skill to master in this class since you will use factoring in all your future math classes.

After this Class

If you received B grades or above for all 4 quarters of this class, then taking Secondary 3 Honors will be a great option. If you received lower than B grades, then you can no longer stay on the honors track and taking Secondary 3 will be a better fit for you.
