I will no longer be tracking Lexia and sending reminders for the rest of the year, but it is good to know that beginning of 3rd grade level is 13 on Lexia. If your child is not to level 13 yet, you may choose to continue Lexia all summer long as a comprehensive literacy practice. Their passwords will continue to work all summer.
Read over the play you are in. For sure read your parts. If you can have other people in your family read the other parts that would be great. Look at the google meet schedule so you know when your group is meeting to practice your play. I put the schedule at the top of the google site. If that doesn't work for you, arrange something else with Mrs. Harward. We will begin recording scenes during our google meets this week so be on time.
Read for 20 minutes (Reading choices: a book that is "just right" for you, https://www.worldbookonline.com/kids/home, e-book, etc.).-- You can count reading your play.
Do the Nearpod activity to the right. This nearpod is all about fancy language people use when telling time. This is not going to be on the test, it is just good to know so that you know what people mean when they use this language.
Begin turning your storyboard into sentences for your rough draft. You can write it on paper or type it in a google doc and share it with me so I can give you feedback. We will eventually publish the final copy in the "Bare Book" that I put in your writing binder for you. You should be done with your rough draft by Friday. That means you could write about one part of your story per day. Today just write about the characters and the setting. For example: Once upon a time there were 3 little caterpillars who lived with their mother. It was time for them to go off on their own so they set off to build their own homes. The first caterpillar built his home quickly out of leaves. The second caterpillar built his home out of twigs. The third little caterpillar decided to take her time and build her home out of strong silk from her body. She wrapped herself up tightly in the silk and waited for it to harden. She chose a spot on a branch where she would be well camouflaged.

Continue practicing your lines for your play and remember your google meet practice schedule or whatever you set up with Mrs. Harward as an alternative. We will continue recording so please be on time to your meet.

Try this math page in your skinny math book to practice using the fancy telling time language we learned about in yesterday's nearpod: p. 175. Then watch the 3 videos about AM and PM to the right of this list.

Do something from the Computer Specialty Choices. The link is at the very top of the google site. There are 2 links: one is a slideshow with the expectations and the other is the choices. (Expectation: 2 activites a week)

We will eventually publish the final copy in the "Bare Book" that I put in your writing binder for you. You should be done with your rough draft by Friday. That means you could write about one part of your story per day. Today just write about the problem. For example: One day a Big Bad Bird came swooping along the branches of the caterpillar's forest. She stopped off at the first little caterpillar's home which was made of leaves. She said, "Little caterpillar, Little caterpillar, let me come in." The caterpillar said, "Not by the fuzz on my fuzzy fuzz chin." Then the bird said, "Then I'll peck and I'll peck and I'll peck your house in." So she did, but the caterpillar crawled off as quickly as it could to the second little caterpillar's house.

Do page 177 in your skinny math book to practice AM and PM. There will be a couple questions on your math test tomorrow on AM and PM so make sure you understand when it is AM and when it is PM. You can rewatch the videos from yesterday and you can FaceTime me if you need help.

We will eventually publish the final copy in the "Bare Book" that I put in your writing binder for you. You should be done with your rough draft by Friday. She said, "Little caterpillar, little caterpillar, let me come in." The second little caterpillar said, "Not by the fuzz on my fuzzy fuzz chin." So she pecked and she pecked and she pecked the house in. The two caterpillars crawled as fast as they could to the third little caterpillar's home which was a strong chrysalis.

Take a look at our Endangered Animal Museum. It is the Nearpod to the right of this list. You all did a great job researching and sharing your opinion on how to save these animals. I hope we can all do our part to help protect them. If I somehow missed your animal, please let me know and I will add it.
Read for 20 minutes (Reading choices: a book that is "just right" for you, https://www.worldbookonline.com/kids/home, e-book, etc.). (You can count any of the reading you do while looking at the Endangered Animal Museum).
Take a look at the Market Day Shopping Google Form to the right of this list. (There are 2: the first one is all the products and prices, the second one is your final shopping cart that you will fill out when you are done with the first google form) You have already received a text of how much money you have earned to spend. Fill out both Google Forms to the right of this list with what you decide to buy. Keep track of how much money you have left as you pretend to spend it. I will be checking the google form throughout the day and letting you know how your products are doing. You may want to change prices based on how quickly things are being bought. As we communicate I will update the Market Day Shopping Google Form.

For example: The Big Bad Bird decided to wait outside the chrysalis until the caterpillars had to come out. As time went by, they were making some amazing changes inside. When they were ready to come out, they burst out as butterflies and flew away before the Big Bad Bird could catch them. They lived happily ever after.
