Your Lexia has reset because it is a new week. Remember if you meet your goal for the week, then you earn $5 in classroom money for Market Day at the end of the year. Work on your Lexia goal (spread out your units to ensure you finish your prescribed units by the end of the week--this should not take more than 15 minutes a day). If you have N/A as your prescribed units this is because you are above grade level. Your goal should still be to get at least 4 units done a week.
Do pages 3-5 on the Wonders documents that I have attached to your daily email today. You can do more if you want, but I would for sure like you to read the Sports Rules text and keep track of your fluency with it and answer the questions about it. You don't have to report this to me unless you want feedback. I would love to know your words per minute and accuracy though.
Read for 20 minutes (Reading choices: a book that is "just right" for you, https://www.worldbookonline.com/kids/home, e-book, etc.).-- You can count the Sports Rules text as part of your reading minutes.
Take the "What's your favorite pet survey?" We will do more with this later this week. Also, do the "Bigfoot" Nearpod activity. These are both to the right of this list

Phonics Pattern: The "ea, y, and ou" short vowel phonics pattern. Watch the mini lesson on this phonics pattern. Find words in books that have these patterns that say the short vowel sounds. Sort them into 3 columns based on their spelling. Here are some words to get you started:bread, read, breath, gym, myth, double and trouble. Make sure the word says the short sound and not their more common sounds. The video is to the right of this list. You may send a picture of your work to me if you would like feedback.

Watch the "Big Foot Representations" video that I have as a link in your morning parent email. I couldn't put it on the google site because some of you put your last names on your work. Check out the awesome data representations that your classmates came up with. Watch the "Line Plot How to" video to the right of this list. It will walk you through how to make a line plot. Then do pages in the document attached in your morning email. You will measure the objects and organize the measurement data in a line plot. You may send a picture of your work to me if you would like feedback.

If you have N/A as your prescribed units this is because you are above grade level. Your goal should still be to get at least 4 units done a week. I am thinking about what to do for Market Day since we will be doing online learning the rest of the school year so I will still keep track of money we are earning.
Do the "Where We Live" nearpod to the right of this list. This is an introduction to our new Social Studies unit on maps. I also included a little video I made of myself doing the Ocean Hula to help you remember where the Oceans are on a map.

Write a rough draft opinion paragraph. I will email you your group notes about your endangered animal. This time I will send you the notes on why they are endangered and how people are trying to solve this problem. I want you to introduce the problem and talk about what is being done in the first sentence/sentences. Then in the second sentence I want you to give your opinion of what you think still needs to be done to solve this problem. Then give 3 supporting detail sentences. Lastly, end with a conclusion sentence restating your opinion. Watch the video to the right of this list for some modeling of how to do this. You may also use the sentence frames I suggest in the writing tips document. Write this paragraph on the same google doc that your informational paragraph is on so I can make comments and give feedback. If you wrote it on paper and texted me a picture then do this again. Next Friday you will be able to finish this up so you don't have to do it all in 1 day.
