PREPARING FOR PROGRAM

We effectively and efficiently address the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters. By listening to local people, and deploying our unique model of engaging volunteers to enable direct impact, we build safe, resilient schools, homes and other community infrastructure.

We do not charge a fee for volunteering. We provide basic communal accommodation and three meals per workday. Please make sure to budget accordingly for extras such as beverages, snacks and any potential outings.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR HEALTH

Living and working on an All Hands and Hearts program has many rewards, but it comes with its challenges as well. As you prepare for the program, we recommend you take some time to consider how you will prioritize your wellbeing during your volunteer experience.

Humanitarians seek to impact the lives of others. It's incredibly rewarding and inspiring, but it can also be tough and challenging. To ensure you can effectively help others, it's critical you take proactive measures to maintain positive health and wellbeing. Please visit our Health, Safety & Security page below to learn more about managing your physical and mental health while on program.
