FIS Path
Walk the path of IB excellence through Standards A (Philosophy), B (Organization), and C (Curriculum). Each checkpoint reveals practices, policies, and evidence — the solid stones paving our journey toward continuous improvement.
Standard A: Philosophy – “The Why”
🖼️🖼️Learning experiences in the PYP are intentionally designed to be engaging, inquiry-based, and concept-driven. Through hands-on exploration, collaboration, and reflection, students actively construct understanding, apply skills, and develop the attributes of the IB Learner Profile while making meaningful connections to their learning.
Principled Investigators: As part of their learning journey, students collaborated to gather and record information. They demonstrated responsibility and focus while working together to complete their inquiry tasks.
👩🎓Inquirers in Action: Our curious students engaged in a rich dialogue with renowned pediatrician Dr. Hisham Abdelkader. They asked thoughtful questions about health and well-being, deepening their understanding for their Unit of Inquiry.
👩🎓Collaborative Thinkers: This hands-on challenge encouraged students to be Risk-Takers and Communicators. They worked together, strategized their moves, and learned that careful thinking and teamwork lead to success.
👩🎓Students demonstrate the IB PYP Learner Profile through authentic inquiry experiences—asking questions, observing carefully, thinking critically, reflecting on their learning, and sharing their ideas with confidence. These moments capture learners in action as inquirers, thinkers, communicators, and reflective individuals.
Parent Orientation – Understanding the IB PYP Philosophy
These videos capture parent orientation sessions where the IB PYP philosophy is clearly articulated and shared with families. Parents are introduced to the purpose of inquiry-based learning, the learner profile, and how conceptual understanding, student agency, and reflection guide teaching and learning across the programme, strengthening the home–school partnership.
