Football Ticket Sales Update
We can now allow spectators, up to 30% of our stadium’s capacity, at our football games. All tickets will be pre-sold via GoFan. See the information to the right on how tickets will be distributed. Tickets will not be sold at the gate and will be redeemed directly from your phone upon entry into an event. Please visit the ACHS website (linked below) for videos on how to purchase tickets.
We have worked diligently to establish effective measures that would allow us to safely accommodate our families, fans, students, and student-athletes. We expect for fans to follow the advice of public health experts by wearing face coverings, practicing proper social distancing, and limiting gathering while in Cougar Stadium.
Game Day Guidelines for Fans
To ensure the safety of our participants and fans at football games, all fans are asked to abide by the guidelines below. Not adhering to these guidelines can result in removal from the contest.
All individuals entering the stadium must wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth. If you are unable to wear a face mask, please consider our live streaming option to watch the game.
Social distancing guidelines will be enforced. Please be aware of spacing when in the stadium. Fans must remain 6 feet apart, unless they reside in the same household.
ACHS will allow outside food and drinks this season; however, no coolers will be allowed. Please be considerate and throw away any trash that you accumulate.
ACHS follows a "no passes out" rule. Once fans enter the stadium, they may not exit and re-enter for any reason. Be sure to bring all items you may need for the entire duration of the contest.
No backpacks or large bags may be brought into the stadium.
No footballs or other toy items.
No tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or firearms. Alexander County Public Schools adheres to a 100% tobacco free policy. This includes electronic or vapor cigarettes.
All items on persons entering the stadium are subject to search by law enforcement officers.
No face or body paint allowed.
Help us promote a positive athletic environment at Cougar Stadium. Let your good sportsmanship show during the game.
We are still operating under Plan B. This means that approximately 50% of our students attend each day. Highlights of ACHS's Plan B operations:
A - Day students attend on Monday & Tuesday (Last name A - J)
B - Day students attend on Thursday & Friday (Last name K - Z)
Masks are required by all students and staff members.
Cleaning protocols are implemented throughout the school day and week.
Please review the COVID-19 & Remote Learning Resources (linked below) on the school's website to help answer any questions.
Conference Coach of the Year
Coach Cornwell was recognized as our Conference Coach of the Year for Cross Country. This honor is voted on by other coaches in the conference. Coach Cornwell is a huge asset to ACHS and Cougar Athletics. He truly cares about his athletes and works to build lifelong relationships with them. He is always willing to step up and help out when needed. Congratulations, Coach Cornwell! This honor was well deserved.
School Social Worker Week
This week is School Social Worker Appreciation week. Our school social workers are an integral part in ensuring the students at ACHS and SSC are successful. Ms. Berry and Ms. Starnes work diligently, compassionately, and persistently with our students to help remove barriers that may impede on their successes. Ms. Berry and Ms. Starnes have created many partnerships with community members and organizations to provide for our students. They go well beyond the call of duty each and every day. We are very grateful for both of them and the work they do. Our staff, students, and community are very lucky to have them. Thank you for all you do!
