Mission Statement: Alexander Central High School will continue to be a learning community that will offer all students a diverse curriculum, enabling them to become contributing members of a constantly changing society.
February 8 - 14
Cougar Nation,
As we enter the month of February, I hope that everyone is settling into our Spring semester. Our in-person and virtual classes are off to a great start. Please continue to check-in with your students to ensure they are successful in their academic endeavors. Please review our remote and virtual learning resources located on our school's website (linked below). Progress reports were sent home with students last week. Students in the Virtual Academy will receive their progress reports in the mail this week. Progress reports are a valuable tool in monitoring student performance. The PowerSchool Parent Portal is another tool that you can use to help support your student's academic success. If you need assistance with Parent Portal, please contact the school.
Please continue your diligence as our battle with COVID-19. Teachers and school staff are following school-wide cleaning protocols. Thank you to those who have monitored the health of their families and themselves. You have helped make our campus safer through your efforts. Please remain diligent by monitoring and communicating any concerns so we can continue to foster a safe learning environment.
We are excited to have sports back up and running this year. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our sports seasons look very different. The modified sports schedules and safety protocols can be found on the ACHS Athletic webpage (linked below). Unfortunately, we are required to limit the number of spectators at our sporting events. Information on how you can watch our athletic events online can also be found on the ACHS Athletic webpage.

Mr. Palmer
Do you have a proper, solid, and sound blueprint? Are you determined to achieve excellence?
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr gave a profound speech on the importance of striving for excellence in everything you do. And most importantly, he reminds us to always "keep moving forward".
As we continue to move forward through this school year, let us all remember to be committed and determined to do our best.

The ACT will be administered to 11th graders as follows:
A-Day students will test on February 23, 2021
B-Day students will test on March 9, 2021
Please be sure your 11th grader is in attendance on their designated day. Students should come prepared to test.
We are looking for tentative prom dates. Due to current restrictions and planning purposes, the 2021 prom will be limited to the ACHS senior class. We are working diligently to provide our seniors with a prom experience that they did not get last year. Prom discussions will continue to take place, and information will be released as decisions are made.
The tentative date for graduation is June 4th. Graduation decisions will be made based on COVID restrictions at the time of graduation. If restrictions are lifted and we are able to have a traditional graduation, it will take place on the evening of June 4th. If restrictions are in place, we will make modifications to our traditional graduation. We will keep you updated as decisions are made.
