A Message from Mr. Palmer

Cougar Nation,

This week is Spring Break. I hope you all enjoy a restful break with your families. We look forward to seeing students back in our building on April 12th.

Monday, March 29th, the Alexander County School Board voted to remain in Plan B for the remainder of the school year. This means that student schedules will remain the same, having two days of in-person instruction and 3 days of remote learning. All individuals on the ACHS campus are required to wear a face mask that completely covers their nose and mouth. We will continue implementing cleaning protocols. We thank each of you for your diligence this school year as we provide the safest school environment possible for our students.

• Parking passes and assigned parking spots will be required after March 31st. Students in need of a parking pass should see Ms. Pennell in the office. Parking spots are $15. A parking application, signed by a parent/guardian, must be turned in at time of purchase. You can access the application HERE.

• Students are allowed to come into the building, starting at 9:00, on Wednesdays to receive additional support from their teachers. Students must sign up with their teacher(s) or the media center in order to be on campus on Wednesdays.

• Local scholarships are now available to seniors. Seniors should check their email for more information or visit the Counseling Center with any questions.
