February 15-21
Cougar Nation,
I hope everybody had a great Valentine’s Day weekend and was able to spend quality time with their loved ones. As we enter another week, I want to encourage each of you to remain positive and diligent as we move forward through the school year. Keep a high level of perseverance to ensure success in academics!
As a reminder, the ACT is approaching for our juniors on February 23rd for A-day students and March 9th for B-day students. It is important that all students are in attendance and prepared to test on their appropriate day. The ACT has various test preparation materials that students can utilize in order to be ready for this test.
Our registration season is beginning. Students will receive information this week regarding class registration for next school year. Students will be presented with registration information during their 3rd period classes. If students have any questions regarding class registration for next year, they should see their counselor. Our counseling team is working hard to ensure students are registered for the classes that best fit their needs.
ACHS Athletics recognized our senior basketball players and cheerleaders this past week. I would like to say thank you to those athletes and their parents for the dedication and support they have shown to Cougar athletics.
Our football team has started practice, and we are excited to see them in action on February 26th. Please visit our ACHS Athletics webpage (linked below) for information on how you can watch our athletic teams play. You can also support our athletes by purchasing one of our Fans in the Stands posters. Our athletes can feel your presence and support, even if you're not able to be there.
Keep bringing your A-GAME!
Mr. Palmer
We've all had someone in our lives that have believed or seen things in us that maybe we didn't see. Someone who helped us realize our potential. It may have been a teacher, a parent, a coach, a friend.
As you go through this week, look for the potential in others. Help someone realize their own potential. Go forth with the mindset of being the best for the world. Be a Mr. Jensen.

The ACT will be administered to 11th graders as follows:
A-Day students will test on February 23, 2021
B-Day students will test on March 9, 2021
Please be sure your 11th grader is in attendance on their designated day. Students should come prepared to test.
We are looking for tentative prom dates. Due to current restrictions and planning purposes, the 2021 prom will be limited to the ACHS senior class. We are working diligently to provide our seniors with a prom experience that they did not get last year. Prom discussions will continue to take place, and information will be released as decisions are made.
The tentative date for graduation is June 4th. Graduation decisions will be made based on COVID restrictions at the time of graduation. If restrictions are lifted and we are able to have a traditional graduation, it will take place on the evening of June 4th. If restrictions are in place, we will make modifications to our traditional graduation. We will keep you updated as decisions are made.
