About Us
Who we are
YeDoma Consultants is an engineering and materials testing firm located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We perform high quality work for local clients as well as in neighboring states. Our approach is defined early in the proposal stage. As projects are awarded, we establish the design criteria, develop detailed drawings, focus on constructability, and publish tender packages. In construction, our team is called upon to resolve design intent. We test the construction materials, release hold points, and build confidence that earthwork activities have achieved the specified thresholds for acceptance. We communicate effectively and report project related decisions throughout the close-out.
Our Value
We are committed to managing environmental risks and implementing cost effective strategies that align a technical approach with benefits to the owner and public users. These strategies reduce a project's carbon footprint through the reuse of materials, reducing offsite disposal, accelerating construction and decreasing user costs.
Our sustainable approach commences in a project's planning and study phase, aligning with our understanding of the subsurface conditions, geologic terrain and environmental constraints.
Since 2017
YeDoma Consultants, LLC is a New Mexico Entity. The firm was founded by a local, Santa Fe High School graduate, Jesse Reinikainen.
Our vision as a company is to be a trusted advisor through the project development process. Our approach includes studying site surface and subsurface conditions in detail and developing defensible design options to improve our local, state, and interstate infrastructure.
Client testimonials
Cliff Barbieri (Advanced Tower Services Inc.)
"YeDoma has worked well with Advanced Towers, Inc. The work is prioritized, including subsurface drilling, geophysics, and laboratory testing of remote, mountainous sites, many of which require rock anchor foundations. The deliverables consistently meet our quality standards, adhere to project fast-track schedules and meet estimated budgetary constraints. I highly recommend them."
The Meaning of "YeDoma"
Pleistocene epoch deposits of organic, fine-grained, unconsolidated material with a cryostructure comprised of syngenetic pore-ice. yedoma deposits typically contain mammoth fauna. Paleoclimates in far northern regions have predominately remained frozen, preserving the geologic record in-place. Thawing of yedoma is linked to the release of total organic carbon, resulting in an increase in atmospheric methane which is worsening into a global geohazard. Infrastructure built on yedoma may undergo thaw weakening, massive settlement, sinkholes and significant loss of bearing resistance as frozen ground morphs into a low-strength muck.
