Our project simulates a virtual World War 3, focusing on Northern Europe, with players fighting for a hastily created Combined Task Force-North, representing Finland, Sweden, Norway, and the NATO allies.

DCS alone can't simulate all aspects, so we combine several different video games and mediums to bring the story alive, and allow players to participate in the way they most will enjoy.

DCS World, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Arma 3, ETS2 and Command: Modern Operations are what we currently use.

Our next chapter in the "Gooniverse" combines these games and their events into one cohesive story of a major war raging beneath the Nordic skies.

The State of War

At the core of our campaign is the World Map.

The Map drives all our games, and the locations of troops and positions will be reflected on the game map.

Not only does the World Map tell the story of World War 3, but it makes playing the game easier.

Units created and positioned on the World Map are used to automatically create and manage their own in-game representations to make an immersive and target-rich front line at a moment's notice for our weekly DCS missions. All the fun of moving pieces on a game board without the headache of wrangling the DCS mission editor!

Know Your Enemy: Red Cell

The Red Cell is comprised of individuals skilled in the art of intelligence and modern warfare, playing counter-moves and initiating actions, as well as creating documents and plans to represent Russia's actions in the theater. While they do not necessarily power-play to win, they are instructed to give a good honest effort to the Blue side.
