10. Eligibility For Election Into Member Committee
1. All candidates to the Member Committee office must have been full and active members of local communities for at least two AIESEC years prior to assumption of office and must satisfy other conditions for the office sought.
2. All candidates to the Member Committee office must have attended at least one (1) AIESEC International program.
3. No holder of a student union office shall be eligible for election into the Member Committee.
4. All candidates must submit endorsement letters from their LC and another Local Committee. (The LCP and another member of the LC executive board shall sign these endorsements.)
5. All candidates must provide endorsement letters from their LC staff advisers/ BOA chair person.
6. All candidates to MC offices must terminate/resign from any LC position at the time of applying for this role.
14.11.3 Member Committee Vice President Eligibility
i. He / She must not be less than twenty (20) years old before the date of assuming office
ii. The Member Committee VP must be highly knowledgeable in AIESEC affairs and must have participated at least once in an AIESEC International program.
iii. He / She must have attained level 4 of the AIESEC in Nigeria National Education Cycle.
● Strategic and analytical thinking: able to understand the bigger picture and clearly identify the workable solutions for achieving them.
● Seeing the connections and interdependencies between processes and elements in order to reach the overall goals. Being able to create strategies and directions with a strong connection to the needs and opportunities coming from the current state and trends.
● Effective communication: clearly conveying and receiving messages (feedback, opinions, written/verbal communication, etc.) to meet the needs of all parties involved.
● Result orientation: knowing what results are important, and focusing resources to achieve them.
● Self-awareness: having a balanced and honest view of one's own personality.
● Flexibility: being able to adjust easily to changes and new conditions, in order to be able to perform in diverse environments.
● Stakeholder focus and relationship management: identifying key internal and external customers; working with them to understand their requirements and concerns in order to generate value-based partnerships and relationships.
● Self-management skills: the ability to manage personal workload efficiently, and to meet deadlines.
● Emotionally intelligent: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.
● English proficiency: Communicating and negotiating in English on an advanced level. (French language skills are considered an advantage, especially for roles like F&L and PD).
● Functional overview and experience (basic) in all areas; knowing the concerned functional area, and having practical experiences in the area.
● Proven ability to lead a team or play an active role individually as needed.
