Nigeria is a country located on the western coast of Africa. Nigeria has a diverse geography, with climates ranging from arid to humid equatorial. However, Nigeria’s most diverse feature is its people. More than a hundred languages are spoken in the country with over two hundred and fifty ethnic groups which include the three major tribes; Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa. The country has abundant natural resources, notably large deposits of petroleum and natural gas.
Nigeria is bordered to the north by Niger, to the east by Chad and Cameroon, to the south by the Gulf of Guinea of the Atlantic Ocean, and to the west by Benin. Nigeria is not only large in area but also Africa’s most populous country. Nigeria is the most populous black nation on Earth. It is home to the second-largest film industry on the globe whilst also being the fashion, technological and creative hub in Africa. Nigerians are known for their vibrant and friendly energy expressed through diverse creative expressions.
AIESEC in Nigeria was established in 1961 and has produced thousands of AIESEC Alumni who have gone on to great heights nationally and internationally. AIESEC in Nigeria currently has 13 Local Committees and Specialized Units and a membership of over 800 individuals. AIESEC in Nigeria is the largest entity in the Middle East and Africa Region.
The Members of the MC are required to live in Lagos for the entire duration of their term. The MC office is located on the 6th floor, Co-Creation Hub, 294, Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, Lagos state.
