Primary Sports Funding

The government introduced a Primary Sports Funding scheme to increase the quality of provision for PE and sports within the Primary schools. Physical development is an integral part of the day for many of our pupils at Pioneer, many have personalised targets linked to developing physical skills which can include PE or sports activities. Expert advice is provided by physiotherapists for some pupils to ensure that physical abilities are developed to their full potential.

Our aim is to give pupils opportunities to take part in a wide range of sporting activities and to teach quality PE. Pioneer school has some excellent sporting facilities including a large hall, soft play area hydro-therapy pool and outdoor space.
