Special Educational Needs

A full statement of the New Forest Academy’s Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is available on the link below. We hope you will enjoy reading about the variety of ways in which New Forest Academy is able to support SEND students to reach their full potential. The SEND department has recently been through an exciting transformation and along with the national changes to SEN, your child and you are at the centre of their provision.

Our Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCo) is Mrs N Orman.

New Forest Academy is a mainstream school.

At New Forest Academy we welcome everybody into our community. The school’s motto is “Find Your Remarkable” which drives our approach to learning.

Please find NFA SEND Information Report 2023-24 for students with special educational needs .

The Hampshire Local offer can be viewed here which details the advice and expectations for a parent. This information is held by the Hampshire County Council for all schools.

If you have any SEND concerns about a pupil, please use the following referral link:

SEND Pupil Referral and Assessment Form.

The contents of this form are sent to the SENDCo and the Principal and will be processed by our SEND team. This Referral and Assessment form plays an important role in the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle that we follow at New Forest Academy and we appreciate your time and input.
