At New Forest Academy we believe that an effective curriculum shapes the future of our students. Through the guided choices process, we aim to allow your child to fulfil their potential by tailoring their learning to a bespoke educational programme.
The aim of this process is to ensure students succeed with their education, not just at New Forest Academy, but at further and higher education. Our Academy vision is to enable ambitious futures for all members of our Academy community. Through our guided choices process, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum consisting of a core of academic subjects supported by four additional subjects, chosen by our students. By being supported to make the right choices, all students should study a pathway on which they can succeed in achieving high-quality qualifications.
The first stage of the guided choices process is to discuss the available options with your child so they can submit an expression of intent form. The choices are designed to create an equality of opportunity and to meet individual students' educational needs. Once your child has submitted their expression of intent form they will meet with a senior member of staff to ensure they have selected the most appropriate courses to aid their career progression and interests.
