Geography
Our Geography curriculum evokes excitement amongst our pupils, enabling them to be curious about the world around them. At Four Dwellings, we teach our pupils to be inquisitive and we encourage all pupils to critically and creatively ask questions and investigate in order to deepen their knowledge. Our breadth of study is based on the National Curriculum from the Early Years right through to Year 6. Within this, we also teach based on prior knowledge, allowing our pupils to retrieve regularly.
Our curriculum will enable pupils to:
develop contextual knowledge of the location of globally significant places;
understand the process that give rise to key physical and human geographical features of the world;
competently use the geographical skills needed to collect, analyse and communicate with a range of data gathered through fieldwork;
interpret a range of sources of geographical information;
communicate geographical information in a range of ways.
