The school will communicate with the parent community in the following ways:

• • SMS for emergency information to parents and staff

  • Regular email updates to parents/staff from the director and divisional principals.

  • Regular updates to students/parents from their classroom teacher(s)

If the school is instructed to close by the government, board, or director, we will communicate this to the AES community in the following ways:

• • SMS informing constituents that the school will be closed and more information is being sent in an email

  • An email sent with more information about the school closure with timeframes for upcoming communication

  • Alert on our public website with detailed information about the school closure
