Assessment for Learning (Feedback, check-in, quiz etc.)
Teachers will use a body of evidence to assess student learning. Feedback will inform students and teachers about the next steps in the learning journey and contribute to the body of evidence. This will not be reported in PowerSchool.
Assessment of Learning (Assignment, project, test etc.)
Assessments used to determine what learning has occurred over a period of time, such as an end of unit assignment/test or a large chunk of learning, will be clearly identified to students in Google Classroom and results will be communicated through Powerschool as Assessment of Learning.
Assessment as Learning (Metacognitive)
Assessments helps students take responsibility for their own learning. Students reflect on their own and peer learning. They reflect and provide feedback usually using a rubric. This informs students of their next step and also the teacher.
Learning Habits
Students will be guided through a self-assessment by their advisors. Learning habits will not be reported in the grade book during the Continuous Learning period.
