Maths

What do I develop?

Maths skills are life skills! Basic numeracy forms a part of most aspects in life, numbers are intrinsic in everyday life, money, time, chance.

In mathematics we aim to develop these skills and expand them into areas that can allow for specialisation, with skills in drawing, construction and shape, algebraic skills solve problems, data to analyse and predict, and number skills for basic life and beyond.

How is this relevant to my future?

The skills required in maths transfer to all areas in life, and basic maths skills are a requirement for most careers and courses, with many courses requiring a higher grade to show skills are transferable to their subject.

All successful businesses require money skills (number) and future predictions (data) as well as those skills required for any product (e.g. area, shape, volume.
