Key aspects of the DGCA Drone rules:
Drone Registration: All drones, except those in the nano category, must be registered on the DigitalSky platform and obtain a Unique Identification Number (UIN).
Type Certification: Drones need to have a type certificate from the DGCA or a recognized testing entity.
Pilot Licensing: Individuals operating drones, especially for commercial purposes, need to obtain a Remote Pilot License (RPL) by completing a DGCA-approved training program and passing an examination.
Operational Requirements: The regulations specify various operational guidelines, including no-fly zones, altitude restrictions, and other safety protocols.
NPNT (No Permission, No Take-off): This is a system that requires drone operators to obtain real-time permission for every flight through the DigitalSky platform.
