By completing 12 hours of English classes, I have demonstrated my proficiency in written communication and literacy. Additionally, completing classes like biomedical ethics, a senior capstone in biology, and other classes that require the student to formulate and communicate complex ideas has improved my ability in written communication.

It is important to have proficiency in written communication skills because clear, concise, and effective communication in healthcare is vital to your success because of things like charting, writing orders, etc.
