IN CLASS:  Art class has had a wonderful start this year! I've enjoyed getting to know all the children as artists. We have been working on our drawing skills thus far and are about to embark on our first WOW project of the year. Kids will be planning and creating their own amazing drawings to display around the school.  I've especially enjoyed watching the kids sketch each week's still life. They are so talented!

LOOKING FORWARD:  We will be making paintings for an art fundraiser in October. Order forms should come in around mid-November. Keep in mind for holiday gifts!

Our next unit is painting. We have aprons, and the paints are washable, but please consider sending your kid to school in older clothes on art day. 

CLASS SUPPLIES:  If you have bulk supplies that could be used for art materials from home or work, please contact me and let me know! We will be doing a sculpture unit later in the year and will need odds and ends to create from. We will also be painting and doing some fiber craft. Thanks for thinking of us!
