“I am a professional concerned about a child or young person”

“If you are concerned about a child or young person in relation to self-harm and/or suicidal thoughts and behaviour you may find the risk flowchart (on page 23) from Argyll and Bute’s interagency guidance on suicide and self-harm helpful which can be accessed by clicking here. This chart should be used to help you make a decision about the most appropriate steps to providing support for the child or young person. The interagency guidance also includes a template (on page 20) to support you in asking appropriate questions and recording your concerns about self-harm or suicidal thoughts/behaviour.
