The Sergeant (SGT) position within A&J is a key supervisory role, responsible for the effective management and coordination of security personnel within a designated area or shift.
Sergeants act as direct supervisors, ensuring that officers are performing their duties in accordance with company policies, client requirements, and legal regulations. They conduct regular site inspections, provide on-the-spot guidance, and address any operational issues that may arise.
Sergeants are expected to demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and are responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism and discipline among their team.
The SGT at A&J play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their assets, and serve as a crucial liaison between security officers and upper management.
Experience: Preferably 2-3 years in the industry, with at least one year in a leadership role (e.g., Corporal or FTO).
Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage teams and handle high-stress situations.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions quickly and effectively.
Supervise and coordinate daily operations during assigned shifts.
Assist with staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage.
Handle escalated incidents, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Conduct regular inspections of officers, equipment, and posts.
Act as the first point of contact for client or management concerns during shifts.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of leadership principles and team dynamics.
Actively seek feedback from peers and supervisors to improve.
Build strong relationships with clients and management, showcasing your reliability.
