The Lieutenant (LT) position within A&J represents a significant leadership role, responsible for the strategic oversight and management of multiple security teams and operations.
Lieutenants act as middle management, bridging the gap between Sergeants and upper leadership. They are tasked with ensuring operational efficiency, enforcing company policies, and maintaining a high level of professionalism across their assigned areas.
Lieutenants conduct regular performance evaluations, address complex security issues, and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks. They are expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, and play a crucial role in maintaining the overall effectiveness and integrity of our security operations.
At A&J the LT is directly responsible for the development of their subordinates, and the overall security posture of their assigned locations.
Experience: Preferably 3-5 years of progressive private enforcement experience, with at least one year as a Sergeant.
Leadership Expertise: Strong track record of managing teams, handling complex incidents, and implementing policies.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze operations and identify areas for improvement.
Oversee the operational efficiency of multiple shifts or teams.
Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve overall security operations.
Conduct performance reviews and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
Act as a liaison between the operations team and upper management.
Provide leadership during crises, coordinating response efforts and ensuring safety.
Pursuing certifications such as Certified Security Manager (CSM) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP). (Not mandatory but highly recommended.)
Attend leadership seminars and security industry conferences to build expertise and network. (Not mandatory but highly recommended.)
