GET OUTSIDE!!
An outdoor classroom serves as an extension of the indoor classroom. Learning outdoors and exposure to outdoors has proven to increase academic performance, enhance learning, increase engagement by students and connect students with the environment. We would like our teachers to utilize the outdoors as an opportunity to use the space around the school to teach the standards and curriculum. Not just science! The outdoors provides great opportunities to teach math concepts, writing, art, social studies...essentially any content area!
