Nationally recognized, the Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) Maryland Green Schools Award Program allows schools and their communities to evaluate their efforts in environmental sustainability. Participating schools empower youth to make changes to reduce environmental impact, encourage sustainability and foster environmental literacy.

Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center is a MAEOE Green Center. We are available to help you with your Green School Application.
We can:
Meet with your Green School Team to explain the application.
Make a presentation about the Green School Program to your school staff, as required in the Green School Application.
Review your application and make suggestions.

EARN APC CREDIT! Are you leading the effort for your school to become a green school? Green School Leads can receive credit for the work they are doing to become a MAEOE Maryland Green School. Earn up to 3 full APC credits depending on amount of time and work towards the Green School certification. Contact Arlington Echo 667-492-2500.

April 5, 2027 - Youth Summit General Registration Opens
