Assistant Fire Chief - Operations
2025 was another exceptional year for the Operations Bureau. In addition to responding to more than 100,000 calls for service, members of the Operations Bureau continued to accomplish thousands of hours of training in EMS, Fire Suppression, Rescue, and Special Operations. This ensures we provide emergency service responses that meet and exceed industry standards, with the highest degree of competency.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is an “all-hazards” response resource. In 2025, we responded to and professionally mitigated emergencies, including fires, emergency medical incidents, hazardous materials responses, and technical rescue responses (including confined space, rope rescue, marine rescue, dive rescue, and surface and swift water rescues).
We attended and participated in community events throughout the county and supported more than 45 large-scale special events. We not only served our community during day-to-day emergencies, but we also mobilized our assets during two snowstorms and several other tropical storms to ensure emergency responders were able to respond to your needs even during the most austere conditions.
It has been a pleasure to serve our residents and visitors over the past year, and we look forward to an amazing and successful 2026.
