Kathrin Wimmer

Kathrin Wimmer received a PhD in 2010 from the Technische Universitaet Muenchen (Germany) working on two-neutron transfer reaction experiments at ISOLDE (CERN). After that she joined the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University (USA) as a postdoc. There Kathrin was involved in gamma-ray spectroscopy experiments using the GRETINA array. In 2012 she moved to Central Michigan University as an assistant professor continuing the work at NSCL with GRETINA as well as transfer reaction experiments TRIUMF. Since 2014 Kathrin is at the University of Tokyo (Japan). Her main research topics are gamma-ray spectroscopy and direct reaction experiments with exotic beams at the RIBF RIKEN Nishina Center.
