Alexandros Gezerlis

Alexandros Gezerlis is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Guelph. Before moving to Canada in 2013, he was a Herzberg Fellow at TU Darmstadt and a Research Associate at the University of Washington. He got his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009, having previously worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory. His research ranges from the development of nuclear forces to few- and many-nucleon calculations using a combination of first-principles and phenomenological tools. This program touches upon nuclear structure, nuclear astrophysics, as well as ultracold atomic gases.
