Core Resource Program

The Core Resource Program services students with a variety of mild to moderate learning problems in all areas of exceptionality. In high school, the best place for student learning is with their classroom teachers but each student with special needs has a Special Education Teacher who also provides supports to students through, for example, reinforcing concepts learned in class or assisting students in a quiet environment acquiring extra time for assignments or evaluations. In collaboration with classroom teachers, students, parents, Guidance Counsellors, Special Education support staff, administration and other educational professionals, Special Education Teachers act as liaisons and help students learn skills such as self-advocacy in order to work toward success.
