1. If you have a planned absence chargeable to vacation time (not during summer if you are on payroll at that time), please request time off from the associate chair once you know the dates of your absence; you should obviously try to plan these absences with your colleagues so as to make sure that we have enough people at work to cover the necessary tasks during your absence.
2. If you have an absence due to illness, please continue to report these on the usual yellow monthly sheets.
In all cases, please cc Department Administrator (but please not the chair unless it is an unusual circumstance); The Department Administrator has agreed to keep track of vacation times, and this ensures that we know who is absent.
3. Absences of any type for administrative staff and IT staff should be posted to the MATH-STAFF-ABSENCES calendar
