Sgt Carl J. Brown School Courage Award

1. Students from 9th to 12th grade are eligible

2. Essay required, 500 words or less, typed, only one page

   1. Examples: Performing life saving CPR or the Heimlich maneuver on another student or staff member

   2. Seeking prompt medical attention which resulted in the saving of another's life

   3. Timely intervention for a fellow student who was at risk of self-harm

   4. Promptly reporting a potential act of school violence which was thwarted as a result of the willingness to come forward

   5. Placing yourself at personal risk after having come to the aid of a fellow student who was the victim of verbal or physical abuse

   6. Any alternate acts of bravery or courage

Northampton County 2024 Conservation District Scholarship Award

1. Applicant must be enrolled in a Pennsylvania College or University for the fall and declare a major in environmental or agricultural science, or a related field.  College acceptance letter required.

3. Two letters of recommendation required

Portuguese Heritage Day Scholarship 2025

1. Applicant must be of Portuguese ancestry such as mother, father, maternal or paternal grandparent

2. Applicant must be awaiting acceptance or already been accepted as a full time student to any 2 or 4 year college/university

3. Must be a graduating senior, class of 2025

4. Must live in the Lehigh Valley

5. Must submit a current transcript, most recent report card, and current class schedule with application

6. Recipient will have a check awarded to the University/College they are committed to
