Which mobile platforms can I use to access my Google Apps?

Google Apps supports access to Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, and Contacts from most common types of mobile devices including:

  • Android

  • Blackberry (mobile browser only) and BlackBerry10

Android

How do I access my Gmail account from my Android phone?

There are two ways to access your Gmail account with an Android based phone:

1) Using the web app by accessing http://m.gmail.com

2) Most android phones have the Gmail application pre-installed. You can add your account by accessing the Gmail icon on your phone. If you do not have the application installed you can always visit the Google Play Store and install it: Google Play Store - Gmail App

How do I sync my Calendar to my Android phone?

By adding your Google Apps account to the "Accounts" section of your Android phone, your Calendar will be synced automatically if you choose to sync it upon setup.

Why are all Calendars syncing to my phone and not just my own?

By default your Android phone will sync any calendars that are set to be visible in Google Calendar in the browser. You can remove calendars from the settings menu once in your Calendar on your PC, Mac, or mobile browser. Be sure to make only your default calendar visible in Google Calendar before adding your account.

How do I sync my Contacts to my Android phone?

As with the Calendar, after adding your Google Apps account to your android phone your contacts will automatically sync. You can turn this off in the accounts and sync section of your phone.

Blackberry

How can I access my Google Apps account on my Blackberry?

As the Gmail application has been deprecated there are two ways to access your Gmail account from a blackberry:

1) By accessing m.google.com from your blackberry web browser.

2) By going through the Blackberry 10 instructions above to setup Google Sync on your BlackBerry 10 device. This will only work on BlackBerry 10 devices.

iOS Devices

How do I access my Google Apps account from my iOS device?

There are four ways to access your Google Apps account from your iOS device:

1) By accessing m.google.com from your iOS browser, then choose which App you would like to access.

2) You can use Google Sync to sync your Gmail, calendar and contacts to your iOS device. (must be enabled by your system administrator)

3) By using the Gmail application downloaded from the App Store or sending yourself the download link from http://www.google.com/mobile/iphone/

4) If you have IMAP enabled on your Google Apps account (check with your administrator) you can add the email account directly to the internal iOS mail application by:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device

  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars

  3. Tap Add Account...

  4. Tap Gmail

  5. Enter your account information, being sure to use your full Google Apps email address

  6. Tap Next

  7. Tap Save

How do I sync my calendar and contacts to my iOS?

There are two ways to access your calendar and contacts from your iPhone:

1) By going to m.google.com.

How do I access my Gmail, contacts and calendar from my Windows Mobile device?

There are two ways to access your Google Apps account from your Windows Mobile Device:

1) By going to m.google.com from your windows mobile browser.

2) By using Active Sync from your phone. (Exchange ActiveSync must be enabled by your system adminstrator).
