Scholarships Due in October

High School Heisman Scholarship--$500-$5000 (deadline Oct. 19, 2021)

The Heisman High School Scholarship program honors hundreds of the nation’s most accomplished, community-minded high school senior athletes each year. This year, the college scholarship amounts have been doubled, increasing support for each student-athlete’s education. The program will recognize a winner from each high school that has student participation. The top male and female applicants from each state will be awarded $1,000. State winners will move on for the chance to become a national finalist and win at least $2,000. Of the national finalists, a male and a female will be selected as the winner of the $10,000 National Heisman High School Scholarship

Eligibility begins with maintaining a weighted GPA of 3.0 (B average) or better. Applicants also need to be proven leaders and role models within their school and community. And applicants must participate or have participated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in at least one of the 48 school sponsored sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Associations.


AES Engineers--$500 (deadline October 5, 2020)

To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions that they will find on our website at www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm.

Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.


AmericanMuscle Student Scholarship Program--$2000 4 awards (deadline October 15, 2020)

4 scholarships for $2,000 each will be awarded to students pursuing an automotive themed major. Two scholarships will be awarded every spring semester, followed by two additional scholarships to be awarded for the fall semester each year. NACME Scholarships--1000 $2500 awards (deadline October 15, 2020)

NACME is responsible for over $3 million in scholarships awarded annually to underrepresented minority (URM) students. NACME expects to support approximately 1,000 underrepresented minority engineering and computer students annually. To be eligible to be named for any of the NACME administered scholarships students must either be a high school senior applying to an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, or be currently matriculating in an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, a US citizen or permanent resident, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. NACME's mission is to increase representation of Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic-American and Native/American Indian in the fields of engineering and computer science.


Golden Door Scholars --$1000+ (deadline Oct. 10, 2021)

We provide college scholarships to undocumented students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must have DACA, TPS or be undocumented, meaning currently not have lawful status in the US

  • Applicants must not be eligible for in-state tuition or federal funding. You can find more details by state here.

  • Applicants must be pursuing a 4 year bachelor’s degree

2020 Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Program--$2500-$25,000 (deadline Oct. 25, 2020)

The scholarship programs provide financial assistant to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Applicants must demonstrated critical financial need, be involved in co-curricular and community service activities, and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Scholarship criteria also include high school graduation in spring/summer of 2018, commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree, and United States citizenship. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation--as much as $40,000 (deadline Oct 30, 2020)

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation's College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Selected from a nationwide pool of applicants, as many as 40 students will receive awards of up to $40,000 per year, which will vary by individual and are based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships students receive.


Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship--$500 (deadline October 30, 2022)

To be considered eligible for the Odenza Marketing Scholarship you must: A) Be between the ages of 16 and 25 on the day of the deadline, B) Submit answers to the essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the deadline, C) Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award. (Current High School Students are also eligible.), D) Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, E) Be a citizen of the United States or Canada.


Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship (deadline Oct 31, 2021)

Applicants must be current seniors, US citizens, nationals, permanent residents, refugees, asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants or humanitarian parolees, planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US post-secondary institution; carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school. Deadline is 5:00 PM on October 31, 2021.

VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship Competition--$1,000--$30,000 (deadline Oct 31, 2020)

Big Future Scholarships-monthly--Deadlines starting in June

All juniors: Make yourself eligible for $500 and $40,000 scholarships each month. Earn entries in monthly drawings for scholarships by completing steps to plan for college. The sooner you start and the more steps you complete, the more chances you’ll have to win. This month’s entries will continue to be included in upcoming monthly drawings.


Points Scholarship--$1000-$10,000 (scholarships awarded monthly and quarterly)

ScholarshipPoints awards one $10,000 scholarship every quarter of the year exclusively to members. There is no essay required. Simply sign up to be automatically entered into the scholarship. Eligibility Requirements: Must be thirteen (13) years of age or older on the date of entry, Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the fifty (50) united States or District of Columbia, Must be currently attending (or planning to attend) a college located in the United States.


FormSwift Scholarships--$1000 (deadlines on April 15, August 15, November 15, February 15)

To be eligible, the senior must make a business plan infographic about one of the suggested topics and apply.


Varsity Tutors Monthly College Scholarship Contest

Write an essay, promote it online, and you may win a $1000 scholarship. This is a monthly contest.


Nitro Scholarship--$2000 (scholarships awarded monthly through 2021)

Eligibility: The $2,000 Nitro Scholarship Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, age 17 or older at the time of entry, and who meet one (1) of the five (5) following eligibility requirements at the time of entry: a parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States, a student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States; a parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States; a student who is currently enrolled as a high school senior located with the United States; a student or a parent whose child has graduated from an accredited undergraduate school (a “School) and who is currently paying back a student or parent loan for his/her/child’s educational expenses for such School (“Entrant”).
