Scholarships Due in March

Dalton Whitfield Murray Retired Educators Scholarship—7 @ $1100 each (deadline March 8, 2022)

Students must attend a Murray County, Whitfield County, or Dalton City school, plan to enroll in a 4-year undergraduate program for the fall, and must intend to teach upon completion of an undergraduate baccalaureate program. NWHS seniors can print an application here or pick one up in the counseling office. Applications are to be returned to the NWHS counseling office or emailed to Mrs. Howard.


Dalton State College Freshmen Scholarships (deadline March 11, 2022)

The application deadline for entering freshmen and dual-enrolled students is midnight on March 11, 2022. Applicants will be advised of their application status by April 22, 2022.

In order to be considered for scholarships, current high school seniors must be accepted to Dalton State and must have access to the Roadrunner Portal. Roadrunner Portal login credentials are found in your Dalton State acceptance letter. If you need help with your Roadrunner Portal user name or password, contact OCIS at 706-272-2611 or helpdesk@daltonstate.edu.


Shaw Associate Dependent Scholarship Program--$1000 (deadline March 15, 2022)

This scholarship program offers scholarships to qualified Shaw associate dependents who are currently high school seniors set to graduate with a high school diploma and enroll in full-time classes at an accredited institution in summer or fall.


Full guidelines and eligibility requirements are outlined in the attached information packet and on our website. All applications and related submittals must be received by March 15, 2022. Selected recipients will be announced in May.

Better Business Bureau Scholarship--$1000 (Deadline March 25, 2022 by 3 PM)

Judges will select the scholarship recipients based on their overall personal integrity and character, their personal achievements, contributions to their communities and schools, and academic accomplishments. Student winners will be expected to attend the BBB's 2022 Annual Meeting Luncheon and share their essay. Please pick up scholarship applications from the counseling office or online and mail or hand deliver them to the BBB by March 25th, at 3:00 pm.


Georgia Northwestern Technical College Foundation High School initiatives Scholarship--$500 (deadline March 18, 2022)

This scholarship is for an outstanding senior student planning to attend Georgia Northwestern Technical College. This scholarship may be used for any educational expense required for their course of study, such as tuition, fees, books, and supplies. Seniors may access it here. The student should have been accepted to Georgia Northwestern to be considered. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office or Mrs. Howard by 3:30 PM March 18, 2022. To enter electronically, please make a copy of the application and rename it with your name.


SEG Scholarship--$500-$10,000 (deadline March 1, 2022)

Society for Exploration Geophysicists Scholarships are based on merit. To qualify, you must be a student who: Is a high school senior planning to attend college next year or an undergraduate or graduate college student; Has above average grades; Is intending to pursue a college curriculum directed toward a career in applied geophysics.


Georgia Business Aviation Association & Foundation Scholarship--up to $2000 each (deadline March 1, 2022)

Scholarships are available to Georgia HS graduates with a GPA of 3.0 minimum who enroll full-time at an accredited US college & technical schools in aviation fields of study (e.g. flight, engineering, maintenance, management and operations).


GFB FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR AGRICULTURE--10 @ $3000 each (deadline March 1, 2022)

The purpose of the GFB Foundation for Agriculture Scholarship for Agriculture is to assist outstanding students who plan to pursue a career focusing on agriculture and who exhibit leadership skills for active involvement in the agriculture sector. The Foundation will award ten scholarships of $3,000 each and three top winners will receive an additional scholarships of $1,000 each. To be eligible, applicant must: be majoring in agriculture and environmental sciences, family and consumer sciences or a related agriculture field; and be engaged in leadership activities in high school..


TECHNICAL COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP FOR AGRICULTURE--4 @ $1500 each (deadline March 1, 2022)

The purpose of the GFB Foundation for Agriculture Technical College Scholarship for Agriculture is to assist outstanding students who plan to pursue a career focusing on agriculture from a technical school or program. The Foundation will award five scholarships of $1,000 each. To be eligible, applicant must: be a Georgia resident; be majoring in an area of agriculture or agriculturally related field of study; must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Georgia accredited technical college during the 2022-2023 academic year; and have a minimum 2.8 GPA.


Daughters of American Agriculture Scholarship--2 @ $1000 (deadline Mar 1, 2022)

Daughters of American Agriculture Scholarship was created to honor the memory of those courageous and adventuresome pioneer women who played such an important role in the founding of this nation and encourage the present generation to continue their education in agricultural pursuits. These two scholarships are available to any farm, ranch or agribusiness woman or her daughter to pursue accredited courses in agriculture leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine, or any other courses directly related to agriculture.


American Chemical Society Scholars Program--350 @ $5000 (deadline Mar 1, 2022)

ACS sponsors scholarship programs for qualified applicants who want to enter the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology and teaching. The programs aim to encourage diversity among applicants and build awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in science and technology.


Scholarship for Journalism Diversity--$5000 (deadline Mar 1, 2022)

The National Press Club, the leading professional organization for journalists, wants to recruit promising future journalists who will bring diversity to American journalism. The scholarship consists of a $5,000 one-year scholarship, which can be renewed for up to three years at $5000 per year.


National Italian American Foundation Scholarships--200 @ $12,000 (deadline March 1, 2022)

To be eligible a student must: Be enrolled in a US accredited institution of higher education on a full time basis for the Fall 2022 semester; Have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or the equivalent) (Some scholarships require a lower GPA for eligibility. Students in a pass-fail system are also eligible); Be a United States Citizen or permanent resident alien; Have Italian American ancestry. To be considered Italian American, the student must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy; Have an active NIAF Membership. Student may use their parent, guardian or grandparent’s membership.


Information Security Undergraduate Scholarship--20 @ $1000-5000 (deadline March 7, 2022)

Up to 20 scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1,000 – $5,000. The student must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance.


Stossel in the Classroom essay & video contests--$50-$2500 (deadline March 11, 2022)

We want to know what your students think about entrepreneurship and innovation. That’s why we’re giving away $20,000 in cash prizes in this year’s student contests!


Davidson Fellows Scholarships--$10,000-$50,000 (deadline March 9, 2022)

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work.

Application categories are Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Literature, Music, Philosophy and Outside the Box. Davidson Fellows are honored every year in Washington, D.C. with Congressional meetings and a special reception.


Louie Family Foundation Scholarships--$100,000 in scholarships (deadline March 15, 2022)

The Kim and Harold Louie Family Foundation anticipates awarding approximately $100,000 in scholarships in 2022. The scholarship is for high school seniors and students who will be attending a college or university in the United States as a freshman during the 2022-2023 academic year.


Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship--from $10,000 up to $25,000 (priority deadline March 15, 2022)

The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, and strength of character; have financial need; and are committed to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree. High School juniors must apply online, demonstrate critical financial need, and submit proof of citizenship by March 15, 2022.


Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship--7@$5000 (deadline March 15, 2022)

The Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing an engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university. Eligibility: U.S. Resident, Open to all applicants - freshman through senior, Minimum unweighted 3.5 high school GPA for incoming freshmen or 3.0 collegiate GPA for upperclassmen, Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program. Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation - one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that outlines involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment, FAFSA Form (Maximum EFC # $15,000), Applicant should be able to detail the importance of their desired major in industry today and the future contributions they hope to make. Applicant must outline participation in a STEM activity in or out of school OR outline involvement as a STEM mentor/volunteer and what was gained from the experience.


Beyond the Boroughs National Scholarship--2 @ $20,000 (deadline March 15, 2022)

Scholarships up to $20,000 over four years will be awarded to full-time students who have been accepted to an accredited four-year college, university, or equivalent (culinary school, for example). Applicants can be current high school seniors entering college in the fall or students currently attending a college or university. Scholarship Application Requirements: Acceptance to an accredited four-year college, university, or equivalent, Low income household, G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher, Involvement in an extra-curricular activity or work, Completion of full application including a completed Student Aid Report from the FAFSA or the CSS Profile, Submit application by the March 15th deadline.


BMW/SAE Engineering Scholarship--$6,000 (deadline March 15, 2022)

To be eligible the student must: have a 3.75 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale (required), rank in the 90th percentile in both math and critical reading on SAT I or composite ACT scores, and pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program. Other scholarships also available.


American Foreign Service Association Scholarship--77 $5000 awards (deadline March 14, 2022)

The AFSA Scholarship Program offers college aid to children of AFSA members whose parents are/were Foreign Service employees. We provide financial aid scholarships to undergraduates and academic merit awards, art merit awards, and a community service award to graduating high school seniors.


John Wright Memorial Scholarship--$5000 (March 15, 2022)

Applicants must be high school seniors entering college or community college, or returning college students seeking a first bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree while attending an accredited US college or university. All applicants must plan to enter the commercial arboriculture industry.


Georgia District Civitan Scholarships--$1500 - $2500 (deadline March 15, 2022)

The Georgia District Civitan Foundation offers 4 different scholarships to 7 students as follows:

2 Georgia District Civitan Scholarships worth $1500 each

1 Robert Wyand Junior Civitan Scholarship for $1500 to an active member of a Junior Civitan Club

2 Alice Dodd Memorial Scholarships for Outstanding Community Service of $2500 for 1st place and $1500 for 2nd place

2 Bobby Dodd Memorial Scholarships for Outstanding Community Service to a Physically Challenged Student of $2500 for 1st place and $1500 for 2nd place

Applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2022.


Flavorful Futures Scholarship--$5000 (deadline March 16, 2022)

Applicants must meet ALL the following criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.

  • Must be a high school senior graduating between August 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022.

  • Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4 point scale (high school/home schooled seniors).

  • Must enroll for Fall 2022 as a freshman or 1st year student in part-time or full-time study at a 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade or vocational school. The school must be an accredited U.S. institution, and listed on the official website for the U.S. Department of Education.

  • Must not be a relative or dependent child of an employee of Talking Rain or any of its retail customers.



FEEA Scholarships--400 @ $5000 (deadline March 24, 2022)

Children, step-children, and legal dependents of full- or part-time permanent federal civilian or postal workers employed with the federal government for more than three years, as well as the employees themselves and their spouses. Some associations and unions partner with FEEA to provide specific scholarship programs for their employees, employees’ children, grandchildren, or spouses, or retirees’ children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. FEEA uses a common application for all FEEA and co-sponsored scholarships.


QuestBridge (Deadline March 24, 2022)

QuestBridge partners with over 45 top colleges to prepare College Prep Scholars to gain admission and full four-year scholarships to Stanford, Yale, Duke, and more through the National College Match. College Prep Scholars can receive special awards and opportunities, including a full scholarship to a college summer program, up to $1,000 for a new laptop, essay feedback, and much more.Applying to college can seem daunting, and the prospect of paying for it can seem even more overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. The College Prep Scholars Program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges.

Being a College Prep Scholar is a notable distinction that shows our college partners that you are a competitive candidate for admission. In addition, your application will automatically carry over for the National College Match when you’re a senior, giving you a head start on applying for a full four-year scholarship to our college partners. College Prep Scholars are nearly five times more likely than other applicants to receive full four-year scholarships through the National College Match.


GuildScholar--up to $15,000 (deadline March 31, 2022)

Lighthouse Guild offers an annual scholarship program for college-bound high school students who are legally blind. Applications will be accepted from students at the beginning of their senior year, with recipients selected and scholarships awarded later in the senior year. Beyond the Cure Ambassadors Scholarship--58 @ $3500 (deadline March 31, 2022)

The Beyond the Cure Ambassador Scholarship Program awards college scholarships to childhood cancer survivors who have demonstrated the ability to overcome the difficult challenges of cancer with determination and motivation. Fifty-eight college scholarships are awarded each year. Applicants must be: a childhood cancer survivor under the age of 25 and diagnosed before the age of 18 with cancer or a high grade or anaplastic brain tumor: a citizen of the United States living within the country and attending school in the U.S., accepted into a post-secondary school for the fall semester of upcoming academic year.


University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship--80 @ $1000 (deadline March 31, 2022)

Scholarships are available for students training to become automotive, heavy duty or collision repair technicians, and to students in business, marketing, engineering, or other major courses of study. Who Qualifies for this Scholarship? Full time students at an accredited U.S. college or university or an ASE/NATEF Certified post-secondary automotive, heavy duty, or collision repair school, graduating high school seniors planning to be full time students at any of the above, no GPA requirement.


Breaking the Stigma Scholarship--$1000 (deadline March 31, 2022)

For the scholarship, we ask that students write about ways in which we, as a society, can better work to break stigmas surrounding different disabilities. Reflect on challenges you have had to overcome and discuss the ways stigmas about your disability have impacted your life. One student will be selected and receive $1,000 towards their educational endeavors.


PlumbersStock Scholarship--$500-$2000 (deadline March 31, 2022)

PlumbersStock is pleased to offer a unique scholarship opportunity for those studying at colleges and trade schools to become plumbers, HVAC technicians or sprinkler and irrigation specialists (or other related fields, like construction management). We understand the importance of education, and as proud members of the community, we like to give back. In an effort to help students achieve their dreams, we are offering scholarships to three winners who will share a total of $3,000.

For eligibility, you must be enrolled at a participating school for higher learning (if your school is not participating, please urge them to and contact us about it). The program is designed with the intent that all participants can their job placement prospects. To apply for the scholarship, please follow these steps:

Create a "how-to-guide" video for home improvement novices demonstrating your skill in plumbing, HVAC, or irrigation. Examples: "How to Replace a Toilet", "How to Fix a Leaky Faucet", "How to Diagnose Water Heater Issues", etc.


Kezian Science Scholarship--$1200 (deadline March 31, 2022)

The Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship will be awarding $1,200 to help deserving science students. Applicants are required to be high school seniors to graduate students in university, majoring in a science field and pursuing advanced education. Applications will be reviewed by our scholarship committee and will be awarded based on academic merit, community service, and financial need

To be eligible for our company scholarship you must be at least 18 years of age. Note that your age is based on the date of the deadline. The deadline for the scholarship will be 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time on March 31, 2022.


Kochhar & Co. Chartered Professional Accountant Scholarship --$1000 (deadline March 31, 2022)

To be eligible for the "Kochhar & Co. Scholarship" a student must:1) Be attending college or university on a full-time or part-time basis no later than September 2022; 2) Have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or greater during their last academic year; 3) Submit an answer to the essay question no later than 11:59 PM EST on the day of the deadline; 4) Be a resident of one of the following countries: A) Canada or B) United States


FormSwift Scholarships--$1000 (deadline every 3 months)

To be eligible, the senior must make a business plan infographic about one of the suggested topics and apply.


Circled In--$2500 (deadline March 31, 2022--offered every three months)

This scholarship is open to 8th - 12th grade students and will be given directly to the winner. They can use these funds for any educational purposes, from books to summer enrichment to a new laptop. This scholarship is NOT need based, nor is any minimum GPA required. It's easy and free to apply.


SP $10,000 Scholarship--Deadline last day of each month.

ScholarshipPoints awards one $10,000 scholarship every quarter of the year exclusively to members. There is no essay required. Simply sign up to be automatically entered into the scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be thirteen (13) years of age or older on the date of entry

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the fifty (50) united States or District of Columbia

Big Future Scholarships-monthly--Deadlines starting in June

All juniors: Make yourself eligible for $500 and $40,000 scholarships each month. Earn entries in monthly drawings for scholarships by completing steps to plan for college. The sooner you start and the more steps you complete, the more chances you’ll have to win. This month’s entries will continue to be included in upcoming monthly drawings.
