Elbert Shaw Memorial Scholarship--$5000 (deadline January 14, 2022)
Two $5000 scholarships will be awarded to juniors or seniors in Whitfield or Murray county who have completed at least 150 hours of volunteer service in 2021. MaryEllen Locher Scholarship Fund scholarships are given to the children of breast cancer patients--either survivors, those currently in treatment, or deceased. Please note that scholarships are limited to students residing within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga. According to the terms of this scholarship, students will be selected on the basis of eligibility and essays. Community service, grades, and financial need will also be considered in the review of applicants. However, grades will not play a dominant role in the selection process. Ronald McDonald House Charities--$1000 (deadline January 28, 2022)
The RMHC scholarship program seeks to invest in students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. Students may apply online. Graduating high school seniors may only apply for this scholarship. The deadline for the 2022 academic year is January 28, 2022, and all mailed back-up documents must be postmarked by the same date.
Georgia United Credit Union--$5000 up to $10,000 (deadline January 31, 2022)
For 28 years, Georgia United Foundation® has offered annual high school scholarships to members planning to attend college or technical school. Named for the credit union's founder and notable board members, the program offers an opportunity for students to showcase their scholastic achievements and creativity through a video competition.
To apply, submit a 1-minute video submission answering the question, “Georgia United and Georgia United Foundation was founded on the principles of supporting the community through education. How are you going to use your education to help your community?" An additional consideration is given to academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and financial need.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program--$10,000 (deadline January 6, 2022)
The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program annually awards roughly 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship with $10,000 renewable scholarships-up to $40,000 total per recipient.
Automotive Women's Association Scholarships--$2500 (deadline January 8, 2022)
Scholarships are selected by the Scholarship Committee and awarded quarterly to the women that solicit passion and drive for the automotive industry. It is our hope that with these scholarships, we can lessen the burden on students and allow them to focus on gaining knowledge and development in automotive related fields and thus enhance their potential career path and the future of the industry.
Scholarships are awarded to female, North American citizens, with a passion for a career or advancement in the automotive and its related industries. While AWAF members and family members are encouraged to apply for scholarships, we encourage applicants who are not affiliated with the organization to apply as well. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants should be already accepted to or enrolled in an accredited collegiate program, with a 3.0 or higher GPA and a citizen within North America.

To be eligible, a student must be a US citizen or permanent resident, black/African American, and current high school senior. The student must demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and have a demonstrated financial need.

Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $30,000/four years to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.
DFA (Dairy Farmers of America) Cares Foundation Scholarship--20 @ $1000 (deadline Jan 14, 2022)
Must be enrolled in or applying for an accredited degree program during the 2021 - 2022 scholarship year. Applicant's commitment and passion for a career in the dairy industry, as demonstrated through responses to three essay questions, Extracurricular activities, awards, recognition and work experience, Academic Achievement.
Must be enrolled in or applying for an accredited degree program during the 2022 - 2023 scholarship year. Applications must include two letters of recommendation and the most recent high school or college transcript.
US JCI Foundation Scholarships--20 awards of $1000 (deadline Jan 14, 2022)
Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study.
Dr. Meme Heineman Scholarship--$6, 050 (deadline January 14, 2022)

The Mensa Foundation Scholarship Program awards more than $150,000 in assistance every year to college-bound students around the globe. Scholarships are awarded based solely on 550-word essays expressing applicants’ academic and professional goals and how their personal experiences will help them to accomplish those goals.
National Beta Scholarship Program (application deadline: Jan. 20, 2022)
12th grade students who are active National Beta Club members and duly registered with the national headquarters as of November 1st prior to their senior year, are eligible to apply and participate in the scholarship competition.
Selection of National Beta Club Scholarship winners is based on a number of factors with special emphasis on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, commendable character, school and community service, as well as National Beta Involvement.
Sister Rita Jeanne Scholarships--7 @ $300 each (deadline January 23, 2022)
Sister Rita Jeanne Scholarships, named for JEA’s longtime treasurer, recognize the top high school journalists in the country. The contest begins at the state level. Winning portfolios from state Journalist of the Year competitions are sent to the national level. Portfolios are judged at the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention, and winners are announced at the convention’s concluding awards ceremony. Scholarship funds — $3,000 for the top winner, and $850 each for up to three runners-up — are sent to the student's college/university account after the winners are announced.
Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship--$2500-$20,000 (deadline Jan 26, 2022)
Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who: Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status; Are the first in their families to attend college; Are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity; and Have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement.

The Foundation offers scholarship award opportunities to undergraduate students who are pursuing a material handling, logistics or supply chain career.
