All information and instructional materials will be posted there.
Your child will be receiving weekly assignments posted in ESL Google Classroom under Classwork.
Students will enter their ESL Google classroom through WakeID, click on classwork, locate their assignment for the current week, and open the assignment for the week ahead.
The assignment is in the form of Google Slides.
Each slide outlines the steps and activities for your child to be engaged in for each day of the week.
Students will also use a Google Doc posted under Your Work Section to complete writing assignments.
The lessons that are provided to your child
are task and skill specific and are based on the essential standards prioritized by the WCPSS.
designed to support and promote your child's language development across 4 language domains. Your student may access any lesson any time time you see fit within your schedule.
The lessons are not dependent upon the use of technology at a specific time. I hope you find the lesson outline easy follow.

As we face school closure due to the coronavirus and our students are home for an extended period of time, I encourage you to take advantage of the online digital reading and learning.
RAZ Kids: Reading, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary
RAZ Kids for Students in ESL Class
All students, who are currently served in the ESL classes, have a RAZ Kids account. The account provides the students access to award-winning digital content anywhere your students have an internet connection. RAZ Kids allows students to practice reading and explore content at the same time. Students listen to digital books at their reading level, read the books, and take short quizzes to determine whether they understood the content. As a parent, you can request access to your child information and see which books and activities your child has completed, monitor their progress, and send them messages.
If you have questions regarding your child's RAZ-Kids account, please email me at sroda@wcpss.net
